912 Garage Find
Just home after rescuing a '66 912 SR coupe that has been sitting in the same place for the last 26years.
I have not attempted to start the car yet but am really anxious to see if I can get it going. The owner stated that it was running when put away and the engine does turn by hand.
I will start by cleaning out the gas tank but am not sure what the best way to go about this would be.
Can anyone help me get started?

Try the internet. There's probably something out there. When you do figure it out:

1) take a picture of what comes out to share with us.
2) consider doing a story/gallery for the UCR internet contest at

Getting Started
I would suggest you check out the Pelican Parts Tech forum. Many threads on a step by step process to bringing and old egine to life. Also many helpful people on-line who will guide you through the process.
