UCR Ski Day
Posted 5 Days Ago By Danny Kroll
Approx. 30 lucky UCR members enjoyed a great day of skiing at Osler Bluff ski club on Friday March 5. We had beautiful (warm and sunny) weather, great conditions, and excellent company. Event chair Tom Tutsch did a spectacular job organizing this event and we enjoyed the wine and cheese back at Chalet Tutsch, someone even relaxed in the hot tub. Eshel Zwieg captured the event on film (actually digital stills), which I am sure will be posted on this site and in Provinz. If you are a skier and like fun, you don't want to miss this event next year!

Modified: Friday, 15 January 2010
The Canadian Motorsports Expo will be taking place next week, January 22, 23 and 24, 2010 at the International Centre out by Pearson Airport in Mississauga. Here's the information link for anyone who wants to check it out:
http://www.canadianmotorsportsexpo.com/I'm surprised we didn't know about it and as one of this year's UCR directors I'll see if we can't find some mutually beneficial relationship with the CME organizers for next year.
See you there. Cheers,

Factory CD Stereo
Posted Monday, 11 January 2010 By Terry Sidora
I have a 2004 Carrera 4S and have experienced the following problem.
When it is very cold following start-up, the stereo will not turn on... the word Porsche is indicated on the display and there isn't any sound until the car warms up..
Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so, could you offer some guidance re: this problem.
Thank You,
Terry Sidora

Tech sessions at Centennial College
Posted Sunday, 27 December 2009 By Livio Passalent
For all of those interested there is another Know your Porsche course at Centennial College.
Attesting to the high attendance at the springs Centennial College course, I am sure there is a good demand for all things technical if we are kept informed. The Club website is a perfect are to notify members of these courses.
i missed the sign up date for the fall sessions due to lack of notice (saw the ad in the Provinz the week before the course). I only discovered the winter session by chance after researching the course offerings at Centennial College.
There is a Winter session starting early in the new year. Are there any other courses - community college, high schools (after hours) in the west end of GTA who have general knowlege courses to `Get to Know Our Porsche`

I'd LOVE to promote stuff like Centennial College Porsche Courses on this website, if some one lets me know about them. Also, if some local vendors/garages want to do tech sessions, I would be happy to promote them.
