Porsche Club of America - Upper Canada Region: 35th Anniversary September 2011

Hello all. A few of us are planning a 944 (all Porsches welcome) meet in Kingston on Saturday May 26th 2012. It will be held in the parking lot of Raxx bar & grill,which is a large, pub, pool hall, dance bar in Kingston's west-end. We will meet in the morning around 1030 - 1100ish, admire each other's cars, lunch inside the pub and then enjoy a scenic cruise (includes a ferry ride!) along the shores of Lake Ontario to Lake of the Mountain.

Please feel free to join us, as last year we had cars from the GTA, Montreal and Ottawa as well. All are welcome and bring your better half as well!

There is a posting on Rennlist, both main and Canadian forums, that will give you more info along with a map of our intended cruise route.

Those wacky Gumballers are driving through Canada again this year, and one of their stops is Yorkville.

They're scheduled to arrive Friday, May 25th at approx. 9:30pm (traffic and speed-trap permitting)

The last time they came through was in 2010 and the crowds were massive!

If you're looking for a place with a clear view of the cars as they park along Cumberland street, but want to enjoy a drink with other PCA members away from the crowds of car fans and celebrity hunters, swing into Epique Lounge on the 2nd floor of 120 Cumberland above the Sushi Inn (PCA member-owned!)

Entry will be given to those who are card-carrying PCA members.

Come early to get the best seats by the windows, enjoy a cocktail and watch the "show"!

Danny and Bruce will be at the open house and will be able to perform appraisals for club members at special rate. If you do not have a quality appraisal, most likely your insurance will not pay out proper replacement value in the event of theft or total loss. Friends are hosting a car rally on May 5 in the Halton Hills area.
All proceeds are going to their ride to conquer cancer.

Father’s Day, Sunday, June 17, 2012

The UCR is once again going to have a recruitment tent on site and everyone is invited to join in on the fun. You can participate, (space is limited, restricting us to one of each Porsche model/year) as an exhibitor, a sponsor, volunteer or spectator along with the thousands of other automobile enthusiasts from across southern Ontario as Ultra 94 presents the 3rd annual Yorkville Exotic Car Show on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 17, 2012 from noon to 5PM.

This spectacular red-carpet event will take place on the “Mink Mile” section of Bloor Street, one of the most luxurious shopping streets in North America, between Avenue Road and Bay Street. Proceeds from donations raised through display-car sponsorships and on-site donations will be for the benefit of Prostate Cancer Canada, an organization that we are proud to be associated with this year.

Yes, we're back again. From our first trip in November 2011 when we brought down the SL500 and the dogs to winter in Scottsdale to this trip, everything old is new again. We've seen a whole lot more of Route 66 on the way down and got in the Grand Canyon as well. We've been through snow storms and 90 degree weather. The trip back with the car and dogs will be a much tamer affair for the comfort of the hounds, but i just love the fact that we got the chance to drive several bits of old Route 66 again picking up several pieces that we had to miss the first time around.
